Picture Tree International (PTI) is a Berlin-based international sales company specializing in a carefully curated slate of up to 15 audience-driven feature films per year. Founded in 2012 by Andreas Rothbauer. PTI focuses on films with a clear positioning from elevated mainstream to crossover arthouse that resonate beyond niche boundaries and connect with international audiences.

PTI has established itself as a trusted and entrepreneurial partner with a proven international track record and works closely with producers from early development through financing and release strategy. With a strong presence at all major international film and television markets, PTI leverages its integrated business approach to design tailored marketing, sales, and financing strategies in a fast evolving global marketplace.

Andreas Rothbauer

Andreas has been in the film industry for more than twenty years in various roles ranging from development to distribution and international sales. Among his acquisition and sales credits are such Academy Award nominated and winning films as 'Downfall' (2004), 'The Lives of Others' (2004), 'Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan' (2007), 'The Counterfeiters' (2007) and 'Il Divo' (2008).

Andreas also teaches financing and distribution at various film schools and workshops and has held several board functions as a member of the Association of German Film Exporters (VDFE). Andreas studied in Berlin, Wellington (NZ) and Rome and holds a Master's degree in audiovisual management as well as a degree (Diplom) in political science.

Yuan Sui

Yuan Sui

Yuan is an original member of Picture Tree International, joining as the company’s Head of Sales & Operations. In 2017 she was appointed Co-Managing Director. Prior to joining PTI, Yuan headed the international department at Star Image Media Group (SIMG), one of the first and leading theatrical distributors in China. Among her acquisition credits are 'Son of the Mask', 'L’empire des Loups', 'Insomnia', 'Black Book', 'Cellular', 'After the Sunset' and the Academy Award winning 'Pan's Labyrinth'.
